This guy is a real life 'Crocodile Dundee.' When Norm Petherick noticed his wife trying to pull her leg out of the water, he acted very quickly. She was trying to pull her leg from was the jaws of a two meter-long crocodile. The couple, from Australia's Northern Territory, were just cooling off in a local waterhole. [Wendy Petherick, Attack Victim]: "I just wanted to get some water on my face and on my head and the next minute a croc, by the corner of my eye, just grabbed me by the leg and pulled me in. I grabbed him by the jaw on top and, being a little person, my finger just gripped on the top of his jaw and my other finger grabbed him on the bottom of his jaw and pushed him trying to open his mouth." It was only thanks to her husband's quick thinking that the animal didn't take Wendy for a death roll. [Norm Petherick, Husband]: "I saw Wendy in the water trying to pull something out of her leg and I knew it was a croc and I acted quickly. I just jumped on top of it, went looking for the eyes and I found them and I poked its eyes, that's when it released her." Wendy escaped with relatively light wounds. She received only five small puncture wounds to her legs and hands. Crocodiles carry a lot of infections in their mouths and doctor's are now concerned that Wendy will develop an infection. To prevent this, she will spend the next 2 to 3 days in hospital to receive a high-dose of intravenous antibiotics. Rangers at the park have set traps to catch the crocodile responsible for the attack.
